CHEROKEE AIRTAXI / CHEROKEE AIRWAYS

Originally known as Albany Air Service and Athens Aviation, the airline changed its name to Cherokee Airtaxi when service to Albany was suspended in 1968. Cherokee used 3-passenger Piper Cherokee and Comanche aircraft. The airline, alternately called Cherokee Air Taxi and Cherokee Airways, closed in Spring 1971.
