MARCO ISLAND AIRWAYS PUBLICITY PHOTOS

South Florida in 1975: groovy girls, stylish uniforms and classic airliners! These wonderful photos come to us courtesy of Thresa Todd, who worked for Marco Island Airways in the 1970s. These lovely ladies are modeling Marco Island Airways' colorful uniforms with a Martin 404 as the backdrop. Aside from capturing the upbeat spirit and bold fashions of the mid '70s commuter airline industry, these photos remind us just how big those "little" Martin 404s actually were. Thanks again to Thresa Todd for providing this great look back at a long gone era!

Left to right: Marcy, Mindy, Thresa. The aircraft pictured is N967M (14149), built in 1952. It had previously flown with Eastern Airlines and Southern Airways before entering service with Marco Island Airways in 1973. Two of Marco's Beechcraft B-99s can be seen in a couple of the photos.
