ATLANTA EXPRESS

Beginning in 1982, Atlanta Express offered Dash 7 and Shorts 330 service from Atlanta to points in Georgia, South Carolina and Alabama in an attempt to capitalize on the loss of major airline service to small cities in the southeast. A second hub was soon opened in Charlotte, NC but the airline struggled financially and was merged into Sunbird Airlines in 1983.
